This book is a result of an enthusiastic answer by African and Africanist theologians to a call by EATWOT (the Ecumenical Association of Third World Theologians), to publish the results of their research, but above all, to share the challenges they have faced, both in the field of the theological academy and in their pastoral and social commitments. The contributors offer here their theological contribution through local forms of wisdom (where palaver or other kinds of theological processes are involved), the development of faith within cultures, emerging theological paradigms, social-political issues, spirituality, ecology, feminism, contextual thinking, reconstruction, religious pluralism, postmodern challenges, among other themes.
